Matt Mitchell

Matt Mitchell is Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of SteepRock Capital. Founded in 2010, SteepRock Capital is a Real Estate Investment firm with a focus on debt.
As of December 2024, SteepRock has acquired over $3.3BB of real estate debt positions and has acquired several hundred million of real estate assets.
Prior to founding SteepRock, Mr. Mitchell served as an Executive Vice President and Principal at Colonnade Properties, LLC. Prior to joining Colonnade Properties, he served as a Vice President in the acquisitions group at the Taylor Simpson Group.
He holds a B.S. from Cornell University and currently serves on the Board of Cornell University’s Baker Program of Real Estate and the Board of Endeavor Therapeutic Horsemanship.
John Bucci

John Bucci is Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of SteepRock Capital. Founded in 2010, SteepRock Capital is a Real Estate Investment firm with a focus on debt.
As of December 2024, SteepRock has acquired over $3.3BB of real estate debt positions and has acquired several hundred million of real estate assets.
Prior to SteepRock, Mr. Bucci served as a Director at Petra Capital Management and was a formerly in roles at both UBS and Credit Suisse where he originated loans and distributed B-Notes & Mezzanine loans. He holds a B.S. from Cornell University.
Connor Rosenbaum

Connor Rosenbaum is Vice President of the Acquisitions Group at SteepRock Capital. Prior to SteepRock, Mr. Rosenbaum worked at Deutsche Bank in their commercial mortgage origination group. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Rosenbaum worked at Marcus and Millichap. Mr. Rosenbaum received a B.S at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ben Swanger

Ben is a Vice President in the Acquisitions Group at SteepRock Capital. Prior to SteepRock, Mr. Swanger was an analyst at Hegemon Capital. Ben received both his undergraduate degree as well as a Masters in Accounting from the University of Rochester.
Zach Kalaney

Zach oversees SteepRock's Asset Management Team. Prior to SteepRock was a Director of Strategy and Underwriting for Broadstone Net Lease. Zach received a BA from the University of Rochester.
Kelly Taylor, CPA

Kelly serves as Controller at SteepRock. Prior to SteepRock, Ms. Taylor was a Director at RDG + Partners and previously worked for Birds Eye Foods and Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP. Ms. Taylor received a BA from St. Bonaventure University.
Michelle Kesselring

Michelle is a Senior Accountant and serves in the Investor Relations Group at SteepRock. Ms. Kesselring worked at RDG+ Partners as an outsourced Controller for small companies. Prior to that she served in various accounting roles at Woods Oviatt & Gillman. Ms. Kesselring received a BS from SUNY Binghamton.

Carter is a Senior Analyst in the Acquisitions Group at SteepRock Capital. Prior to SteepRock Carter was an Analyst at Landmark Properties. Carter graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Noah Smith

Noah Smith is a Senior Analyst in the Asset Management Group focusing on the Construction Lending program. Prior to SteepRock, Mr. Smith was at KPMG. Mr. Smith received a BS and MBA with a focus on Forensic Accounting from Seton Hill University.
Jack Queally

Jack Queally is an Associate in the Acquisitions group. Prior to SteepRock Jack was at Trinity Place Holdings. Jack graduated from UNC Chapel Hill.
